Craig Venter on Creating Synthetic Life

Craig Venter is a true visionary in the field of synthetic genomics and biology. He is the man behind the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) and Synthetic Genomics company, as well as the first known artificial genome watermark. The following talk was given at this year's TED Conference. Dr. Venter answers a simple question: Can we create new life out of our digital universe?
