The Caterpillar Stretcher Design

The folks at Gizmodo point us to this slick looking stretcher, designed by Morten Wagener, a Swedish product developer. The idea is to make it easy to transport patients down stairs in fashion. This is still in development though, and not much information besides the photos is available, so we'll be looking out for it to make a debut as a real device.

Other than those funky wheels, this is nothing new. Ferno and Stryker both sell stairchairs with a tread design.
