Sexy Porsche Pegasus Wheelchair

When Porsche designs a wheelchair, you just know it'll be good...

Pegasus is an alternative solution to the current manually operated wheelchairs for paraplegic people. Unfortunately more often and not a person in a wheelchair is viewed internationally as a symbol for disability. A lot of wheelchair drivers do not feel disabled and experience similar dimensions to ordinary people. The intension of Pegasus is to break with the image and appearance of current wheelchairs. Pegasus allows an efficient movement in an upright position. A manual actuation in combination with an electric drive motor with gyroscopic sensors (segway inspired) allow the driver to maneuver in very small distance.

Unfortunately, there's limited data on this new wheelchair, but we hope it makes the jump from drawing board to market shelves quickly!

FOR THOSE OF YOU INTERESTED IN THE PGASUS

Sehr geehrter Porsche Design Team

My name is Randy Eady and I own a Veterans Service-Disabled Company in the USA that works with disabled veterans, active senior adults and youth that have both ambulatory and balance challenges.

1) We would like to know if the PGasus needs financial sponsorship/support for further development?

2) If a PGasus prototype would be available next year to exhibit at several events we are arranging in the State of Florida?

I also represent several interest in the EU such as professional wheelchair golfer Anthony Netto and the Grnemeyer Institute for Mikrotherapie. We are strong supporters of the stand-up concept in wheelchair mobility and we are developing a Center that focuses on Accessible Sports ~ Across Abilities.

To start our centers development we plan to stage an event in the United States next year called:

Accessible Sports (Golf and Tennis) Cross-Abilities Exhibition and Demonstration, Boca Raton, FL, Spring 2008

Overview Objective

Expand awareness and opportunities for accessible sports by staging a pro-am exhibition and entertainment event that features children and athletes across the disciplines of Golf and Tennis that represent the spectrum of abilities in sport and the latest TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES.

We have potential title sponsorship with AT&T. And, flagship sponsorship arranged with Allianz Insurance Group, Deutche Bank, Siemans and several other German concerns for this event.

We would like to know if the PGasus needs financial/sponsor support to realize its full potential and if there is interest in showcasing this technology in the USA?

Mit freundlichen Gren aus Kln/Boca Raton, FL
