I am sincerely flattered to have been nominated. However, I'd like to withdraw any nomination of my blog.

Thanks for having this contest.

C'mon Allen, you are not that modest. :) Why don't you participate, win and then withdraw, so I can get your book.

Ok. Will withdraw you now.

I was all offended that medGadget wasn't on the list of nominees, especially since medGadget was doing such a good job at covering the awards. Then I went back and read the instructions. :)

There are quite a few nominated blogs (in the comments of the nomination page) that have yet to appear in the official list. Some were nominated before the official list was last updated, so I am wondering if these sites are missing criteria for nomination, or were they just overlooked? Thanks

Grant:

Please specify what sites are missing.

Sorry I wasn't more specific before. I saw a few that weren't on the list, but it turns out that the ones i saw were nominated after the last update on Dec 2. One worth noting though is the Baldingblog.com which was nominated a couple of times before the Dec 2 update and does not appear to be on the list. Thanks again, and keep up the good work.

4 days later, a new updated list, and still missing the same blogs i mentioned earlier. now i'm just wondering if these are purposely being left out...

Any sections for WORST medical blog ? Examples could include most biased despite evidence against a particular opinion (ie delusional); most self-serving; least insightful....I could go on.

And I will: how about best display of arrogance; best commenter put-down (and vice versa); most peurile tantrum; most number of stories depicting oneself in heroic light; most number of stories depicting oneself as evil....

With all due respect, how about a 'comedy' version of the general awards ?

In general, popular wisdom advises users to avoid feeding trolls, and to ignore temptations to respond. Responding to a troll inevitably drives discussion off-topic, to the dismay of bystanders, and supplies the troll with the craved attention.
