Literary MedBlog Showcase

Sometime things veer off into a direction one would never anticipate. Spawned by this year's Medical Weblog Awards, nominees in the literary medical weblog category have decided to battle it out. Dubbed as the first Literary MedBlog Showcase, the venture has a few simple rules.
One, each story must contain a line from a Christmas carol. Two, the post be less than 1000 words. Three, the title: "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night."
